Covega Technology from Thorlabs Quantum Electronics a part of Thorlabs, Inc. (www.thorlabs.com) Superluminescent diodes (SLDs) provide industry leading bandwidth and optical power. These devices are used as low-coherence broadband sources in various applications like Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and medical imaging for applications in fields like optical sensing, cardiovascular, dermatology, ophthalmology, etc., broadband light sources in metrology equipments like thickness measurement, flatness measurement etc. Our SLDs also find applications in fiber optic gyroscopes, navigational stability control systems, and fiber optic strain and temperature measurements. Covega provides standard SLDs in the wavelengths from the 1050 nm to 1600 nm and custom wavelength specifications from 1050 nm to 1800 nm.
